Happy 2nd Year, Jord

kararondina asked: hey addie! where's this wall climbing? :D looks fun! (hope you can reply at wordpress, dont check my tumblr that much anymore) Thanks!
An Estrogen Valentine
Someone once wrote it’s a cliche to hate Valentine’s and a cliche to celebrate it, too. So which side was I on? THIS.
The girls and I celebrated the month of love right after work at B-Side where a brilliant line-up of OPM bands, mostly female-fronted bands, all showcased their musical prowess.
Imago - I love how playful and interactional Aia (vocals/guitars) was during their...
Dea's Special Moment
Belle of the Carnival has asked, “What will be your special moment this Valentine’s Day?”
Today in the office we saw a package delivered at Dea’s station. We waited in excitement for her arrival and when she finally arrived, we crowded around her, badgered her to open the package and read the note to us.
She did, teary-eyed, and I captured that moment with my video camera.

Happy Valentines, One and All!
Saw chocolates and Valentines messages on my desk when I arrived. I still don’t know who the givers are as they all remained anonymous. Wazzup? Haha.
However, I do know who this cute little box is from. Thank you. And thank you all.
Excited For The Friday Party
My team, The Sirens, is hosting this month’s party and guess what the theme is… VALENTINES! How original!
As you can see in the invitation (designed by LA), it’s a color-coded party.
Orange attire for single and drama-free Pink attire for married and in a relationship Green attire for it’s complicated Blue attire for pure and demure
Gotta check what’s in my closet...
Climbing Session (Mousy Nerd in Action)
And because I’m loving this sport…
I don’t have any more qualms about putting on socks and the climbing footwear.
I’ve never been so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at doing something this physical.
It was love at first doing.
Each small step and grip carefully planned.
Climbing the wall.
And gaining.
Belaying also demands strength.
And for a human...
Climbing Session (The Girls in Action)
Two Saturdays ago, LA (aka Pampers) and I had our very first climbing session. We were supposed to be with two other work friends but both were no-can-dos at that time. They had promised that they’d come along for the second session, which was last Saturday. And boy did they keep it!
Non-stop chatting with Sam on the way to the gym.
At the registration desk with the uber-excited Riva.

Marco Turns 1
It was sometime in August of last year when I first laid eyes on him. It was love at first sight.
His name is Marco. He is now one year old. His mom (a colleague) and dad threw a birthday party for him today. Glad to have been invited.
Also present at the party were Marz and husband’s friends and family. And the kids.
And of course the two mascots, Grimace (not in the pic) and...
Saturday Nosh-up
Movie date with friends was the initial plan after the wall-climbing activity but sis suddenly announced a family night-out that I just couldn’t say NO to.
The strenuous work-out prior to this had definitely left me salivating for some green and carbs.
A large satisfying meal, indeed…
…not to mention it’s their treat. Theeeeenks!
Badgered sister to buy me my...
My First Sport. Bow.
Inspired by my best online pal, Megan, I was able to get off my lazy ass and go to the gym (Power Up Centro Atletiko) located near my place, which is also much nearer to the jazz bar my girls and I had been last weekend, to try wall climbing. Finally.
My eyes twinkled when I was given this card. I’m supposed to present this every time I go there.
Of course, I didn’t go there...
charleslijauco asked: My future is crazy. It is talking to me every night. Not a joke, dude. :))
Girl With Far-away Eyes
…or so I thought I am. But no. I’m just so photosensitive. Dammit.
Whenever I have my picture taken, the flash of the camera blinds me. I close my eyes as a result and come out with the eyes half-closed in the photograph while other people in the same picture maintain open eyes.
Takes forever to get a decent photo of me. How sad.
This happens all the time. So, sometimes I...
Let's Communication!
After the baby shower, Lainey, Stef, Sam, and I decided to grab a few drinks at a newly-discovered jazz bar that’s just near my place. I didn’t know this place existed until LA told me about her band rehearsal. The name of the bar is TAGO Jazz Cafe. Tago in Tagalog means ‘hide’ or ‘hidden’ and surely the bar was located somewhere hidden. But thanks to our Siri...

And All That Jazz
What is jazz?
Jazz is rhythm and meaning. ~ Henri Matisse
Jazz music is an intensified feeling of nonchalance. ~ Francoise Sagan
If it has more than three chords, it’s jazz. ~ Lou Reed
If he’s a true symphony artist, he knows better than that because he knows that the only truly creative musician is the jazz musician. ~ Buddy Rich
Jazz is about being in the moment....

Mini Elaine Will Be Arriving Soon
It’s been a month now since Elaine had her overdue maternity photo shoot through the help of her ever-dependable friends, aherm (see Pam, Lainey, and me in action here). Said shoot had also become an opportunity for us three to reconnect with Pam.
And just last Saturday, Elaine threw her much-awaited baby shower.
We celebrated the pending birth of Gaia Lee. Wach out, world!
The...
Princess D(eana) Turns 24
Remember D? The glam friend I romped around EDSA with last month? She had her birthday bash last weekend (January 21st) at our favorite after-work spot, Kabisero Grill.
This social butterfly was bohemian-fab that night and in high spirits.
Glad I was invited to the party.
I brought her a bar of chocolate and a melted one at that because the stupid me had put it on top of my netbook...
Santo Niño de Praga
This is a poetic image of a small vulnerable child traveling through a perilous world who overcomes danger and obstacles by gentleness and forgiveness and is as powerful in Prague as well as among the people of the Philippines.
His greatness is something that my Uncle wants for other people, devotees and non-devotees, to know. It has been his pledge since 2004 and a promise to his deceased...
The Little Gentleman
Introducing our beloved escort.
His sisters’ apple of their eyes.
Cool (aherm) as his sister, Ate Maridel
Hyper as his sister, Ate Louise.
Aaron being himself.
Forever our little boy. :D

BICOL TRIP - Bagamanoc, Catanduanes
Where loved ones pass to and fro.
And in heaven they are blessed.
Mama and Papa. Their epitaphs carefully chosen by me.
Err, this never fails to creep me out. Exactly why I don’t recommend sharing names with parents. That’s mom’s.
In God’s time, I am naming my daughter Laura Teresa.
Lolo’s tomb is brand new. Er, not...
Doon Sa Uma!
BICOL TRIP - Bagamanoc, Catanduanes
As farming is the main livelihood of the people of Bagamanoc, so large parcels of riceland surround the town.
Grandpops was a farmer and everyday he would go to the fields and did what was needed to be done: plow, harrow, disc, water, pray.
His little princess would always tail along, he’d let her, and says, “Stay there. Just watch...
A Trip Down Memory Lane
BICOL TRIP - Home (Bagamanoc, Catanduanes)
Finally!
I wasted no time. The itch to tour around was unbearable. So, off I went.
With my travel buddy, of course.
Did we need a vehicle? Nope. Ever heard of walkathon? That.
So where to first?
First stop was at my high school teacher’s. Ms. Alma already has her mini version.
Where I spent some of my childhood.

BICOL TRIP - Going to Bagamanoc, Catanduanes
These are the sceneries I enjoy seeing:
The green mountains
The air-dried abaca
The coconut trees
And the scenic pond.
These, among others, make the one-and-a-half-hour trip from Virac to Bagamanoc all worthwhile. Never mind the car sickness.
Joy In The Rain
BICOL TRIP - Virac, Catanduanes
It’s a known fact that the Bicol province is frequently visited by typhoons and it always rains in that part of the country. True enough, there was already plenty of rain when our plane landed.
I don’t usually like it when it rains in Manila. But for some reason, rain in Bicol is never the same. I like the countryside pouring. Instead of shooing the...
Relieving Flight Boredom
BICOL TRIP
The following are what we do to fight flight boredom (Bicol-bound):
We take photos of ourselves together at the pre-departure area and during the flight.
This is what I do when bored:
I read a book. The mousy nerd syndrome never fails to strike.
This is what Louise does when bored:
Louise being Louise. Such a bugger.
Thank you, Glam Peeps!
“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.
We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
Thank you, Yayin.
Thank you, Sam.
Thank you, Lainey.
Thank you, LA.
Thank you, Miss Chic.
Thank you, Kuya Bhe.
Thank you, Kuya Tony.

MIDAS Hotel →
thotsinlove:
2011’s Christmas party was yet another Glam party for us, since we’re no longer up for more drinking and we fancy food more than alcoholic drinks (ahem) we’ve decided to have a dinner buffet at Midas Hotel.
We know this is a super post Christmas party due to conflict with the schedule but we still did get to find time for this and of course it’s been a while and we already miss...
Model Tip 102: The Underarm Pose
Okay, just a quick recap. The previous model tip involved how to make one’s arm appear slimmer. Learn here.
Well, today’s entry dishes out my all-time favorite pose: The Kelekele Pose
Tadaaaa….Okay, that’s wishful thinking. Thank you, Anne. *eyes-rolling*
But hey, ladies who can’t afford (yet) a Belo underarm session need not fret. Ditching your favorite...
I Got Boys
It’s been a while since the boys and I had our boys night-out. On the afternoon of Christmas, JM txted me. Oh yes, he did. Hallelujah. He’s alive! “Who’s up for some beer tonight?”
I forwarded the message to Andrew, who had just gotten back in town.
Immediately he sent back a positive reply. Good boy.
I figured I’d meet up with the two of them for...
