The Mousy Nerd

It was sometime in August of last year when I first laid eyes on him.  It was love at first sight.

His name is Marco. He is now one year old. His mom (a colleague) and dad threw a birthday party for him today. Glad to have been invited.

Also present at the party were Marz and husband’s friends and family. And the kids.

And of course the two mascots, Grimace (not in the pic) and Hamburglar.

Hamburglar wasn’t there to steal hamburgers like he always does. He was there to cheer people up.

Obviously, Marco wasn’t so much thrilled.

But hey, I WAS. I thought Hamburglar whispered something like “I’m done stealing hamburgers. I’m stealing hearts next. And I’m targeting yours first.” *squeal*

You jelly, Pearl?

Fine. You get your turn too, while I take my turn at impressing the birthday boy.

 Not sure who’s feeling more awkward though, me or him.

Marco wasn’t really in a very good mood. Even Riva’s charm didn’t work.

But somebody was charming enough to goof around with me. That’s Raffy, Riva’s infamous nephew. Finally, we met. Looks like we hit it off, huh.

Going back, the party was a success. Lots of food, toys, and jolly music.

Not my kind of party but it’s all the same; we get smiles all over our faces.

Heres to the lucky little boy who’s sure to be his parents’ pride and joy; Here’s to Marz and husband, too - May life be good to all of you!
